The Reason - Events

Throughout 2007 and 2008 a number of fund raising events are being already being planned and are detailed below. You too can support Pete and Alzheimer's Australia by organizing a fund raiser! Big and small, they all help!

The Alzheimer's Atlantic Challenge | Date: 16th September 2007

Details: The Atlantic Concept Challenge aims to bring 40 teams together to row in tandem on Concept 2 rowing machines with the goals of covering the distance of the Atlantic Ocean in 12 hours; and raising funds for Alzheimer's Australia. Each team will aim to cover at least 125 kms, with the combined total aiming to equal the distance of the Atlantic - 5000 kms. The Atlantic Concept Challenge will be held during Alzheimer's Awareness Month and funds raised will be donated to Alzheimer's Australia.

The Challenge Draw | Date: July - November 2007

Details: The Challenge Draw will give supporters and the public a chance to donate to Alzheimer's Australia and in turn will have the chance to win one of several very special prizes!

Parties and Dinners

Details: Everyone loves to have a good time! A number of dinners and parties are being organised throughout 2007 and 2008 which will give everyone the chance to get out on the town and have some fun. Profits from these events will go to Alzheimer's Australia.

The Big Dip | Date: 22nd July 2007

Details: A long distance sea swim being held in the UK by the Solent Swimming Club! All proceeds from this event will be pledged to Alzheimer's research.

The Schools Challenge | Date: September 2007

Details: Both the Gregg School in Southampton, UK and the Grove School in Hastings, UK will be supporting Pete and Alzheimer's Australia by organizing sponsored row-a-thons!
